Miss C turned 22

Yesterday the baby turned 22 ... I don't know where the time has gone.

It seems like only yesterday I was hospital cradling her in my arms

It seems like yesterday she started school ... so cute in her uniform with her sister looking after her.

And it's definitely too long since Miss C flung herself at me each night as I arrived home from work

Sorry, no photos of Miss C scowling at me for daring to even ask for a shot.

Just these photos of the tag/card I made for her ... in her favourite colour and looking suspiciously like another tag I made recently.

I know she'll love the perfume ... she bought it for me and steals it all the time! LOL

And the gift all wrapped up.

Happy birthday to everybody in blogland having a birthday.

OF BIRTHDAYS AND RENOVATIONS
One of the reasons I wanted to return to Ballarat was for Jason’s birthday … and to get his computer set up for him.

I feel bad that didn't happen.

And after Clarissa made the effort to bring it down on Christmas Day and it's sitting at my mother's house until I can get the operating system sorted ... XP of course!

And it's Jason's birthday today. Happy birthday little brother, there's a little something extra in the computer stuff for you for your birthday. We love you.

The birthday boy at Carol's birthday dinner a few day's ago.

Instead I'm spring cleaning for Neil's visit, Clarissa and I've been playing with paint pots and plaster and sandpaper ... and I haven't been able to resist starting the Diana Gabaldon book. I just couldn't help myself.

Four of the paint pots.

The painting's been fun ... epsecially for Clarissa who can't make up her mind which pink to choose.

At first she was going with something bold and striking ... what else but red.

But she's drawn back from that after some strategic internet searching, which suits me fine because I really want a much lighter approach. If that sounds stark and you haven't seen it done before, check out the blog decor8. I love all the ideas I get from that site.

Everything's so light and fresh ... that's what I really hope to get out of what we're doing.

Clarissa's choice for bedroom of the year ... drum roll please ... is now something like this beautiful bedroom in pink and white from decorpad. It's a fantastic site I'm going to be visiting more often too.

The pink on the walls is so pretty ... I love it too.

And I've been working on the hallway walls for my testing ... they're currently a gentle cream colour which looks almost white ... I can see it from here and it looks so restful.

It feels really nice knowingmy first choice is what I'm going to go with.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HORACE
Wow, another year has passed and it's Horace's birthday again.

Time goes way too fast.

Wini posted a message on Facebook ... she remembered her old dad. Clarissa forgot and I had to remind her when she arrived home after work. (Tut tut tut ... accompanied with head shaking! LOL What can you do?)

What do you get a man who has everything ... and never seems to want a thing?

So since the way to every man's heart is through his stomach ... some of his favourite sesame snacks.

A photo of the boy who doesn't like his photo taken LOL ... with his sesame snaps.

Happy birthday baby boy.

We love you lots.

MUM'S BIRTHDAY: 7 May 09
I know my aunt Mary is waiting for news of my Mum's birthday and whether she liked her present. The answer is a huge yes.

The card for Mum came a few day's before the gift and Mum was a little confused by the reference to a present in the letter. The blanket arrived a few days later, and it's such a great idea. A nice throw rug is one of the few things Mum doesn't have.

The thing is, though, Mum didn't open up the blanket for a few days after she got it and it was only then she realised that a photo of my aunt, her husband and a koala had been woven into the fabric. (PS Mary, just between you and me, Mum said she's still finding it a little unsettling to find such a large picture of her sister staring at her from her lap! LOL). Only joking ... Mum really loves it.

INSERT PHOTO OF MUM AND BLANKET HERE!

So the best I can do for now re a photo is to leave a space for a photo ... and the next time I see Mum I'll get her to pose with the blanket and her best 'surprise' face! LOL

Christmas birthdays

As always, Christmas is an extra busy time for us with Carol's birthday the day before Christmas and Jason's on the 27th.

We didn't arrive until Christmas Day so didn't see Carol on her birthday, and on Christmas she arrived Christmas evening because she and Mark had gone to visit Mark's family in Healesville.

Carol opening her presents

Horace, Wini and Clarissa went home together Christmas night but I stayed a few extra days until Jason's birthday, and Mum, Debbie, Jason, Tamika and I had a nice dinner at La Porchetta. Surprisingly, my family were very well behaved and let me take photos. Mum even took a few of me with Tamika, and they were the best photos of the night.
