Good things: My Creative Space

Today is My Creative Space day but I’m making it Creative Space day and sharing some of the amazing sights from Sew It Together last weekend … truly an amazing and talented bunch of 60 women and one extremely quiet baby in a hotel conference room crafting. Visit kootoyoo for lots more creative spaces.

There were so many things happening, basically anything you could pick up and tote.

Knitting … there was lots of knitting happening, including me.

Embroidery … it sure is getting more popular every day and this piece by Jodie from Ric Rac is one of the most interesting I've seen.

Machine sewing … I was amazed to see how many people brought their machines along to sew clothes.

Crocheting … including someone who only learnt the week before and was busily making this amazing blanket.

Toy making … the amazing Juddie from Flightless Boyds who makes toys to leave (literally leaves them somewhere) for unsuspecting adults or children to adopt. I loved listening to her stories, and watching a gorgeous bunny come to life. I hope she posts a photo of the completed bunny on her blog.

Quilting … all the way from squares to whole quilts (yesterday I shared Andi from PatchAndi's quilt and it wasn't the only one being worked on).

I tried really hard to wander around and chat with as many people as possible. And despite that I feel as though I hardly scratched the surface of the collective talents in the room.

(PS If any of these photos are of you please feel free to take them, and to let me know who you are. I'd love to hear from you.)

PS: I've noticed that you are able to put a link to your page in the comments that you leave. Are you able to describe to me how you do this?
