Good things: Ruby Tuesday

Time for Ruby Tuesday ... check out Work of the Poet for more ruby goodness.

My photo this week is my trusty hot water bottle and it comes with a story.

A few days ago I posted about my Thursday of last week.

It was a doozy of a day and I finished the day sore and bruised but with the thought of a long weekend to enjoy.

I think the saying goes that bad things come in three and Thursday chewed up two (which left one more to go) and it got me Friday night: I strained my back lifting up the sewing machine!

I suffered through Saturday until it occurred to me to use the hot water bottle ... and it was nice.

We were inseperable the entire weekend ... and even though my back is almost all better I'm still yearning for my new best friend.

Oh, I hope your back is getting better. I do love my hot water bottle, though I mostly use it to keep warm , it's actually a miracle worker!

get better soon!

hotties are great aren't they?

I knitted one side of a cover last winter and the shop didn't get the rest of the wool in so I'll knit the other half this winter in a contrasting wool.

I haven't seen a hot water bottle in decades. I remember my parents having one when I was a kid. I didn't even know there were still around.

My mom used to used a regular bottle and put hot water in it to help her with her body pain.

Wow! A hot water bottle. Ours busted early this past winter and after much hunting we bought 2. They look just like yours. My husband has been often chided about his best friend, the hot water bottle. Our Grandson was fascinated with it. Soon he found it in his bed before nap time.
Glad your back is feeling better.

Ouch! Thank goodness for a good hot water bottle, or "hotty" as my sister disturbingly calls them!

I use a warm pillow that way - the heat really does help.

Hope you're well recuperated by now.
