VINTAGE THINGIES THURSDAY: Chinese plate
Colorado Lady is hosting a fun meme; Vintage Thingies Thursday.

Check out Suzanne's blog for her luscious collection of vintage Christmas goodies ... and for all the others (like me) playing this week.

For my first contribution I thought I'd show my favourite plate in the cupboard.

Isn't this gorgeous?

Now, I know it's not Christmassy ... but I don't really have anything vintage and Christmassy.

This plate really stands out in my kitchen where everything is either blue, white or cream. No colours for me generally ... no sirree Bob! LOL

But many years ago this caught my eye and I just had to have it.

And why not because it's absolutely gorgeous.

Unfortunately the chips to the gold border were already there ... but they don't detract from the sentimental value the plate has for me.

And the thing is I still love it as much as when I bought it.

The colors on the plate actually do look Christmassy.

Very pretty. It would be interesting to know the story it tells.

Regardless what is on the plate, it is very pretty. I really like it and it looks so nice the way you have it displayed.

, looks like the damage was due to those wire things that valuers always complain about as they do such damage, this plate is best displayed out where all can see it though ,its so lovely

I see nothing wrong with few chips or flea bites....does not distract from the beauty in any way! Have a great VTT!
