MOVING ON ... TO NEW YORK
Wini travelled with us to New York ... and it was gret for the four of us to be making this trip together.
Leaving Canada and moving towards the US ... I'm sad but happy because Diane will be with us in a few days and we'll soon meet Lloyd and his family.
The downside to this trip is the level of travel we have to do ... this time another ten hours on the bus to New York.
New York here we come!
Going through the US customs and immigration we saw quite a few cards pulled over, and even somebody cuffed and taken inside. I didn't expect that to happen.
Horace on the bus ... wide awake as we both were for most of the trip.
Wini asleep ... I wish that was me.
And Clarissa asleep with her mouth open!
When we finally arrived Lloyd picked us up at the station on the corner of 42nd and 8th streets. We were in New York and we were right in the middle of it; a real eye opener at around 8pm for the very first time.
After that Lloyd took us to Applebee's for something to eat before we met everybody. I can't say we'll ever eat there again, it wasn't the best introduction to the US.
However getting to East Orange to meet everybody ... that was brilliant.
