I loved this story from the newspaper yesterday which assured us of what the 'perfect' marriage looks like.

So everybody out there whose relationship isn't with a man two years older, etc should reconcile themselves to their eventual break up now because it's coming!

Is this another case of lies, damned lies and statistics?

Since when can the perfect relationship be boiled down to a set of statistical averages we should look for?

As if it isn't difficult enough to find Mr Right, now he has to be 2 years older, and when met he has to marry you 3 1/2 years afterwards, you have to have a child within two years of marriage .... oh, and don't forget to have sex three times a week.

And by all accounts Horace and I should have broken up 20 years plus ago because our ages are more than 2 years apart, we're not married ... and I'm not telling you about our sex life!

Still, there's one good thing to come out of this story. I like knowing we're not like everybody else!
