FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD
We're probably not the average family when it comes to food as the majority of what we eat is unprocessed, natural food and very little takeaway. Not to mention Horace does most of the cooking.
Each week we go to a local store which sells fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, delicatessen and a small amount of general stuff. We get the majority of our food there because they sell staples like toilet paper, milk and bread and only go to the supermarket every 2 or 3 weeks to buy shampoo and washing powder.
The receipt from my shopping trip.
This way has worked out to be so much cheaper, and probably reduced our food bill by half. No more going out for milk and bread and spending $50. Not to mention the local place is cheaper than the supermarket, especially for meat.
