Ruby Tuesday

It can be challenging finding red … mostly because I’m not a very observant person and again because I don’t always have my camera with me.

I made a special effort this week to look for stuff and didn't come up with anything much by way of new photos. So I've decided to share some photos from the food review blog Eat and be Merry, for Tomorrow we Die(t) that I write for and take photos.

I'm a dedicated tea drinker and I love a tea cosy, so I was entranced at Fandango in North Melbourne with the cutest red knitted tea cosy with licorice allsort decorations.

And for my meal I had poached eggs with beetroot, spinach and feta relish on toasted sour dough. My favourite meal (breakfast) for lunch and my favourite vegetable (beetroot). Maybe there was more red in my week than I realised.

I hope your week was also delightfully red, and make sure to pop by Mary's blog Work of the Poet for much more ruby redness.

PS I'm Snooze over at Eat and be Merry, for Tomorrow we Die(t)!

I may be a bit picky, but I have never eaten fresh beets. But the lavender color that the beets create looks appetizing. The entire dish looks delicious with those greens and sitting on such lovely bread, my tastes can adapt to such beautiful food...

That brunch looks really delish. I've never seen beetroot used in this way before, but I kinda like it. How did it taste with the eggs?

The tea cozy is so cute but I don't think I've seen them being used here . That poach eggs look so yummy, I want one of those.

Love the tea cozy. I too am a tea drinker...hot or iced.

And your brunch...yummy.

LOOTERS is my Tuesday blog. I do hope you can find time to drop by if given a chance. Have a great day.

I'll check out that "Eat" blog. That sounds interesting.
I love a story with a photo. I love that tea cozy. Really. I just bought a tea set, (as I am drinking more tea than coffee these days and love the ceremony of having a hand made pottery tea service). That bright red one looks like it would fit my smallish pot.
Now the beets on the eggs, I don't know. I love beets. I boil them and use simply salt and pepper. And I steam the tops, I love the greens. Good sourdough is hard to find nearby where I live, but I love it toasted!
I like eggs well enough, but I'll drench them with hot sauce, a brand named Cholula. The gal on the bottle is called my girlfriend by the Grandkids!

Nice post. I like it here.

Peace.
