Good things: My Place and Yours

This is my first time ever as theme queen ... and I’m so glad it’s for My Place & Yours. Thanks Danielle at HelloOwl.

My choice is gadgets.

Do you have a favourite?

Maybe you have a gadget you use every day?

Or are you drooling over a gadget that you really, really want … but can’t afford?

Our most often used gadget is the humble grater ... and here are a few.

The one I like the best is the hand held parmesan grater.

The gadget I wanted to share was our vintage nutmeg grater. The top twists off and the whole nutmeg is dropped inside. Then the mechanism is worked by turning the handle on the side. I love the smell of fresh nutmeg as it grates ... absolutely gorgeous with apples for apple crumble or apple cake.

But wouldn't you know it ... I can't find it!

If you want to share your gadget ... pop over HelloOwl to sign up. I can’t wait to see everybody’s.

Love your theme ;)) Don't ya hate that ... hope the nutmeg grater turns up ;) I'm not religious at all but sometimes, as a last resort, a quiet word with St Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of lost items, stuff re-appears ;)) Hope your Easter weekend has been all you wanted it to be. xo.

Hmmm? I can not remember the last time I used a grater... 'Grate' them this week. =)

I love the sound of your nutmeg grater. The taste of freshly grated nutmeg compared to the packaged nutmeg is chalk and cheese. (Does that sound right?) Anyway, I am sure it will turn up in the most unlikely place. xxNIck

I'm really sorry Susan, I thought I'd left a comment for you, but it doesn't look like it does it? Good thing I checked back.
Thanks for the theme. It really had me thinking, and then I only came up with one! Until I saw everyone elses, and thought "Oh yes, I could have put that one of mine in the pic too!!" lol. Oh well....
Your vintage grater sounds lovely. I think I've seen one. Long time ago.
I tend to use only two here....one of those old round metal ones that I find really handy, and a new-ish parmesan one. :))
