Good things: Ruby Tuesday

I love metal tins for holding craft, especially tins with hinged lids, and my favourite tins of all time are the Whitmans chocolate tins.

So when I found this little darling last weekend I just had to get it.

And now it houses my latest embroidery job ... a name tag for my secret swappee for Sew It Together.

Making the tag hasn't been without its problems either ... and all because I really need to learn to read instructions more carefully.

But I'm happy with what I'm making and I'm sure I'll be finished soon. With any luck it'll be mailed before the weekend. Hooray!

I love tins too Susan. Name tag looks good - hopefully your swapee reads your blog and sees how much effort you have put in.

Good advertisement for Whitman's as well, LOL.
I also reuse tins to keep cross-stitch and other stuffs. But since I started blogging, my cross-stitching has been set aside for a while.
Thanks for stopping by, Sue.

Your name tag is looking very pretty! (All the better, of course, for being kept in such fantastic tin. I wonder if it still smells of the chocolates. Mmmm.)

Love the tin too. I also keep my embroidery supplies in a hinged tin from Crown Royal. It has a red crown on the top that would be a nice RED RUDY post some time...never thought about it until now.
Thanks for sharing and love what your doing with the circles. I enlarged the photo to see in more detail, really nice.
Thanks for coming by to visit and hope you come back soon.
Tuesday Blessings ;-)

Plenty of Ruby Red on that tin. But you hold embroidery in it, and Whitman's used to be in an embroidered box!

Happy Ruby Tuesday.

These tins are nice, we save these to store Christmas ornaments, they are keepsakes and we attach great sentimental value to these tins - and who doesn't mind finishing the Whitman Sampler treats to make storage space for other things?

I like that tin too. I used to have several red chocolate tins used as storage for my knick-knacks.

It's a wonderful find! With the Santa at the bottom I can imagine using it to put a gift in at Christmas time. Not that you could give it away!
Nice needlework as well!
