Project 365 Canada Fri 7 Aug 09

QUIET DAY
We're still settling in ... although Clarissa seems to have taken the longer amount of time to get herself organised re sleep. However, I'm not throwing stones too far because I took a two hour nap this afternoon and I hope it doesn't stop me sleeping tonight.

Today I got our first 'family' shot while we were at the Camillien-Houde lookout on the eastern side of Mount Royal Park ... of Horace, and two of his girls: Diane and Clarissa.

Horace, Diane and Clarissa with the Olympic Stadium to the right of Diane's shoulder.

We also went to visit family friends: Diane's inlaws Reggie and Norma. And got to enjoy Reggie's garden, which he's really proud of.

Everything in the garden, with the exception of the trees has to be replanted every year, so it's all the more remarkable how beautiful it is. So much so that the garden was recognised in 2000 with an official local award.

PS But how bad is this ... no photo of the proud gardener.

One of the begonias just outside the front door.

The show of geraniums across the front of the house.

A view down the side of the house towards the front door.
