INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Today is International Women's Day and being the feminist I am I 'celebrated' this last Monday by going to a 'lunch' event given by my union, the Commonwealth Public Sector Union (CPSU).
Clarissa holding the International Women's Day colours: purple, white and green.
It's important to remember these things, and the women who worked so hard before us.
So I sent off an email to Suzanne Cumming to see whether she wanted to go. The guest speaker was a superannuation specialist, always a good subject for women who traditionally work less over the years because of raising children, and I thought Suzanne would be interested. She was ... but I sent the email to Suzanne Howard instead, who was also interested. And so two Suzannes and one Susan set off for the event!
And going with two Suzannes turned out to be interesting as the guest speaker ... working out who was speaking to who!
